To our friends and comrades,

As we celebrate the return of Christmas scenes to Bethlehem and reflect on another year of organizing against the U.S.-Israeli war on Gaza, our hearts are with those risking everything — even life itself — for liberation.

We stand in unequivocal solidarity with the Palestine Action-affiliated prisoners on hunger strike in the United Kingdom: Heba Muraisi, Karan Ahmed, Lewie Chiaramello, and T Hoxha, who approach death more rapidly with each passing day; and Amu Gib and Qesser Zuhrah, who paused their strikes on December 23, 2025, vowing to return. We also salute Jon Cink and Umer Khalid, whose strikes have come to an end. We send our affection to all those taking to the streets, refusing to let the world look away from Palestine and our prisoners. Our message to you all: we are with you.

Launched on November 2, 2025 — the 108th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration — the hunger strike is an intentional reminder of the UK’s shameful legacy of imperialism and colonization of the Palestinian people. It is clear that the same moribund empire that first authorized the Zionist project in 1917, and that continues to abet genocide and displacement to this day, would rather see our comrades die than stop their death machine.

At least 9,300 Palestinians are presently being held in Zionist prisons, nearly half of them without trial or charge. Now, the same UK government that enables this colonial occupation has violated their own laws of due process for Palestine Action-affiliated prisoners. Each of these eight political prisoners has already suffered time on remand that is well beyond the six-month legal limit. No bail has been set. No charges have been filed. Meanwhile, the prisoners are being relocated to facilities far from their hometowns and families, and, within the prison, forcefully isolated from each other.

The British government’s repressive tactics and violations of human rights have escalated in direct proportion to the successes of Palestine Action. Over the course of five years, actionists so impaired the global operations of Elbit Systems—Israel’s largest privately owned defense contractor—that orders of weapons from UK factories to the Zionist entity could not be fulfilled. Rather than end its longstanding entanglement in the ongoing genocide of Palestinians, the UK government is willing to let its own citizens die in brutal conditions.

We honor the bravery of our British comrades in exposing the death-dealing nature of their government. Keir Stormer, David Lammy, and their minions will never be forgiven for their crimes, while the names Qesser, Amu, Heba, T, Lewie, Kamran, Jon, and Umer will be written in gold.

Amu says,

“We will be the ones to decide how we give our lives to justice and liberation. Palestine is an ocean away, we have raised a sail, you have become the wind to catch us. We will not push beyond our limits before we push the government beyond their own. We refuse for our graves to be another 8 potholes they dodge on their pitted highway to hell.”

Qesser says,

“To our Government, do not release your breath, because we will certainly return to Battle you with our Empty Stomachs in the New Year, when you have shamefully returned from your blood-soaked break, to the theatrics of your ‘democracy’.”

The entire movement must defy the draconian criminalization of resistance, and never allow fear to distance us from our conscience or our will. It is our duty to amplify the demands of the Palestine Action–affiliated hunger strikers:

1. End all censorship

2. Immediate bail

3. Right to a fair trail

4. De-proscribe Palestine Action

5. Shut Elbit Systems down in the UK

Disrupt the enemy’s plans

In the twentieth issue of our movement paper, The New York War Crimes, we published a piece about Palestine Action–affiliated prisoners, written as told to us by a spokesperson for the now-proscribed group. He said,

“When we talk about our political prisoners, sometimes we forget to talk about their politics. It’s understandable that we do this: Prison is intended to dehumanize the people inside, forcing us to plead in public, as a corrective to this violence, that such-and-such prisoner was a doting mother or a loyal son or a gardener. All these things may be true, but they are not as important as the fact that these mothers and sons and gardeners tried to stop a genocide. When we say that there are 24 members of Palestine Action currently being held without trial in UK jails, it’s important to remember why these people were politicized and why they are imprisoned.

These 24 people are in jail because they participated in a series of actions that resulted in the complete destruction of Elbit factory equipment, to the point that orders of weapons from the United Kingdom to the Zionist entity were unable to be fulfilled. […] This is the standard that we need to hold ourselves to in a time of genocide: How can we disrupt the enemy’s plans from day to day, week to week, month to month, and, ultimately, to make them give up their plans altogether? We, as a movement, have not stopped a genocide, and I don’t think we can unless more people are willing to disrupt not only the system for a day or two, but their own lives for a very long time.”

End this business of death

Demilitarize Brooklyn Navy Yard: DBNY gathers at this shipyard and industrial complex nearly every week, pressuring its board of directors to evict two tenants — Crye Precision and Easy Aerial — who supply equipment to the Israeli Occupation Forces. “Our responsibility is clear: to interrupt, dismantle, and end this business of death,” say the organizers. Read their statement in support of the UK hunger strikers.

Mini-Circuits: PAL-Awda’s campaign against Mini-Circuits, a war profiteer in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. Mini-Circuits manufactures essential bomber and missile targeting components for the Hellfire Missile, the THAAD Battery, and the Patriot Missile, as well as parts for the F-15, F-16, and AC-130 fighter jets, all of which have been used in the ongoing US-Israeli genocide.

Mask Off Maersk: PYM’s research has demonstrated that Maersk, a publicly traded Danish shipping and logistics company, transported millions of pounds of military cargo to Israel from the U.S. in 2025 — everything from tactical vehicles to parts for armored tanks and aircraft and artillery systems to the Israeli Ministry of Defense.

No Arms in the Arts: No Arms in the Arts: Established in late 2023, No Arms in the Arts is led by a coalition of groups, including WAWOG Toronto, Film Workers For Palestine, Artists Against Artwashing and Canlit Responds, that reject arts funding tied to the ongoing displacement and death of Palestinians. Since choosing Scotiabank as its first target, No Arms in the Arts has pressured both Hot Docs and the Giller Prize to sever their decades-long ties with the Canadian bank, which is one of the world’s largest investors in Elbit. Today marks two years since the New York Times published "Screams Without Words," a piece of Zionist propaganda which used sensationalized, unsubstantiated claims to smear the Palestinian resistance in an attempt to justify a genocide against the Palestinian people. “SWW” is the paper’s most dangerous piece of propaganda since its falsified reporting on “weapons of mass destruction,” which drove the US to its disastrous invasion of Iraq in 2003.
